An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist with an interest in Parkinson’s disease. This is a brand new post at York & Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and the successful applicant will be instrumental in the setting up and development of this acute based service for people with Parkinson’s in Elderly Medicine at Scarborough Hospital
The position is 37.5 hours per week, working supporting patients in maintaining their independence, keeping them out of hospital and remain in their own homes.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Physiotherapist who has experience and is keen to develop their skills in the areas of Neurological Physiotherapy, with a special interest in Parkinson’s Disease.
You will support the Parkinson’s team in Elderly Medicine in the planning, development and evaluation of Parkinson’s Disease services at York & Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, working closely with colleagues within specialist MDT to implement innovative patient pathways and evidence-based clinical care.
We are looking for an individual who is an excellent communicator with a flexible approach, and an eagerness to establish links with community partners, sharing clinical expertise with therapy colleagues and the wider MDT.
The post will be based across inpatient, outpatient services at Scarborough Hospital. You will have robust clinical and managerial supervision and training provided to support you in role, whilst also undertaking support and supervision of junior staff and students.You will work very closely with the Clinical Lead Physiotherapist for Parkinson's based at the York Hospital Site.
