The governors seek to appoint an outstanding and experienced teacher who will relish supporting the Curriculum Leader in leading the Mathematics department. As Assistant Curriculum Leader Mathematics, you will support the leading, development and manage the effective delivery of an outstanding curriculum which enables students to develop their creative, practical and technical skills and achieve the highest level of student progress and attainment.

This is a great opportunity for an aspiring Senior Leader.

If you have the following knowledge, skills and experience, we would love to hear from you:

  • A passion for teaching Mathematics with a confident and creative approach getting the best out of students.
  • Experience of raising attainment in a challenging classroom environment.
  • Experience of leading a team and/or developing others.
  • Experience of improving the quality of teaching and learning through the development of schemes of work and high-quality resources.
  • Excellent understanding of both subject and general teaching pedagogy.
  • Be a qualified teacher with QTS or equivalent.
  • The ability to support the Curriculum Leader in providing high quality leadership of Mathematics, helping to ensure excellent outcomes for all students.
  • The ability to support the leadership of the curriculum so that all students receive a rich and challenging experience of Mathematics.
  • A track record of teaching Mathematics within the curriculum.
  • Ability to teach Mathematics up to Key Stage 4.
  • Be an effective classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management and committed to ensuring all students succeed and fulfil their potential.
  • Demonstrate a range of innovative teaching and learning strategies.
