• We need a patient and committed ASD Teaching Assistant to join our partner primary school in the Willenhall area of Coventry.
• This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about supporting children on the autism spectrum.
• The position involves delivering one-on-one support to two Key Stage 1 pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN).
• The successful candidate will support both children individually and as a pair, with a view to a long-term role that could lead to permanent employment.
• Providing tailored one-on-one support to pupils with ASD and SLCN.
• Assisting children with non-verbal communication needs.
• Supporting the Key Stage 1 curriculum and managing challenging behaviour.
• Collaborating effectively with the school's SEND team to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Previous experience in supporting children with ASD and communication needs.
• Familiarity with the Key Stage 1 curriculum and managing challenging behaviour.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications or a degree in a related field.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team, providing a positive and nurturing environment.
• A welcoming, one-form entry primary school with a supportive ethos.
• Excellent transport links and on-site parking available.
• Well-resourced SEND provision as part of a Multi Academy Trust.
