Job Description
Glasgow City Council’s Summer Internship Programme will be available from Monday 9 June 2025 – Friday 29 August 2025, inclusive.
Applicants must be available for the full duration of the placement.
The intern will work 35 hours per week and rate of pay will be the Glasgow Living Wage. Interns will work for 12 weeks, during which time they will accrue 6 days leave, the payment of which is included in their Salary so must be taken during their 12-week placement.
Applicants require to be available week commencing 31 March 2025 for interview.
An intern is sought to design and deliver an engagement exercise with the food growing community in Glasgow to gather feedback on the challenges faced by organisations and individuals in relation to increasing and maintaining food growing provision.
The intern would also be tasked with summarising and analysing the feedback to support the department in identifying key actions to improve the conditions for food growing organisations to deliver initiatives.
To achieve this Neighbourhood, Regeneration and Sustainability (NRS) requires an enthusiastic and focussed individual to work at its offices in Eastgate, 727 London Rd, Glasgow and occasionally at events spaces across the city. Working with existing officers the candidate would be required to effectively communicate across a variety of audiences and comfortable with working with members of the public.They must have experience in designing and carrying out research projects, collecting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data, and producing reports.
