BAND 5 STAFF NURSE – IN-PATIENT PHYSICAL HEALTH REHABILITATION AT SPINNEYFIELDS IN RUSHDEN- 5 hrs per week, part time hours consider – minimum 25 hours per week – long and short days are available on a 24/7 rota basis.
Please come and join our highly skilled, motivated and innovative team including medics, nurses, physiotherapists and occupational therapists all ward based to ensure that our patients receive the best possible individualised care all in single rooms.
Spinneyfields is one of five Community Hospitals within Northamptonshire who all work closely to share best practice and develop services for our local population.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will need to provide quality care for a group of patients, specialising in rehabilitation and sub-acute care from patients stepping down from acute hospitals and step up patients for acute hospital admission avoidance in a physical health inpatient unit.
As a Staff Nurse you will:
- assess the healthcare needs of patients and develop care plans reflecting their needs
- monitor the quality of care they're receiving
- work closely with the MDT to set goals towards discharge
- carryout clinical skills such as complex medication administration, intravenous medications and fluid administration, syringe pump use, enteral feeding, complex wound care and catheterisation
- Assist the Ward Sister in managing a team of patients, supervision and delegation to junior staff.
