Spring Lane School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Worker to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our students. As a part of our pupil referral unit, you will play a vital role in supporting students' academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain regular links with the young person’s home regarding attendance, educational and behavioural progress.
- Provide in-class support for young people being tutored on site, or where appropriate.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback and support where necessary.
- Engage in professional development opportunities, particularly in the areas of SEN, trauma-informed practice, and teaching and learning.
- Attend and report to appropriate meetings.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified Youth Worker
- Strong understanding of SEN and trauma-informed practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Passion for making a difference in the lives of young people.
