Security Officer
Location: Woking
Job Purpose:We are seeking a Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of an educational institute premises, staff, and students. This role involves monitoring access control, responding to security incidents, and maintaining a safe environment in line with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities: Provide security services within a school, college, or similar environment.
Monitor CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems.Enforce fire safety procedures and assist in building evacuations.
Carry out routine building maintenance and report security concerns.
Respond to incidents and emergencies, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols.
Required Skills & Experience:
✅ Essential: Experience in security within an educational or similar environment.
Knowledge of building maintenance and DIY skills.Awareness of health and safety issues related to security.
Ability to work independently and handle security matters efficiently.
Strong communication skills Basic computer skills for accessing security data and information.
Desirable: Experience operating fire safety procedures.
Security Industry Authority (SIA Door Supervisor) qualification.First Aid qualification.
Full valid driving licence.

Physically fit to perform manual handling tasks.
Reside within a reasonable distance of the college for emergency responses.
