The award winning Nursing and AHP Workforce Development Team are looking for a motivated, experienced Nurse looking for an opportunity to embark on a career in education.

During the 9 month secondment you will support a range of learners including Pre-Registration Student Nurses, Nurse Apprentices, new to Care Health Care Support Worker, and students from the new T-level programme. There may be a requirement to visit schools, colleges and universities to promote a career in health.

You will be developed to support Practice Assessors and Supervisors with the delivery of virtual and face to face classroom updates to meet NMC requirements. The varied role may also require you to deliver sessions on the preceptorship programme and the new to care programme.

You need excellent communication skills and need to be digitally literate in navigating a range of IT systems and programmes used to support learners. Training can be provided.

Main duties of the job
  • The post holder will be a visible and accessible resource for practice based staff to maintain professional standards including the NMC Standards for Student Supervision and Assessment.

You will deliver induction sessions for all our student learners prior to beginning placement and support weekly listening events to ensure a quality learning experience. The RUH has signed up to the Safe Learning Environment Charter and the post holder will help to deliver quality improvement activities to support the agenda.

The role is varied. At times the post holder will be required to support expansion activities identified in the NHS Longterm Workforce Plan and support innovative ways of working such as CLiP and Dyad models of practice based learning.
