Finance Manager

Marks Sattin are delighted to be recruiting a Finance Manager for a company based in Huddersfield. This is an exciting for opportunity for someone to join a diverse, dynamic team dedicated to providing top-tier services in the UK.

Reporting directing into the Managing Director this role is critical in ensuring the financial health and compliance while contributing to strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day financial operations including transactional duties, bank reconciliations, and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and monitor budgets, analysing and providing recommendations and develop financial forecasts to support business planning.
• Generate financial reports and collaborate with the group finance function.
• Collaborate with the group finance function, delivering weekly and monthly reports as needed.
• Present insight and trends to senior leadership.
• Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Advanced excel skills and proficiency in accounting software.
• Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ability to present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Previous experience working in an SME environment.
• ACCA, CIMA or ACA.
• Able to demonstrate experience in process optimisation and successful system implementation.
