Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with emotional and behavioral disabilities ?We are currently recruiting Senior Residential Support Workers to join our dedicated team in Handsworth our 3 bed Children's Home supports 8-18yrs with BESD ( Ofsted Regulated)
Our home is well led where there will be huge support and you will be encouraged to develop and progress.
As Senior Support Worker you will- Provide high-quality care and support to young people with EBD and complex needs.
- Work collaboratively within a team to ensure the well-being and development of the residents.
- Follow safeguarding procedures
- Lead and manage the shifts including YPs behaviours and staffing issues
- Manage the supervision of staff
- Carry out inductions for newcomers
- hours 37.5- 40 per week
- Competitive hourly rate: £12.50-£14 per hour (plus sleep-in payments).
- £26000-£30000 per annum
- Sleep-ins paid at £50.
- Free enhanced DBS checks.
- Ongoing career development with extensive in-house training.
- Comprehensive structured and supported induction.
- Opportunity to gain sector-specific qualifications.
- Previous experience working with Children or Young People (Minimum of 2 year)
- At least 1 year leading and supervising staff
- NVQ level 3 in children’s and young people's workforce or equivalent
- Enhanced DBS.
