Nottinghamshire Healthcare’s Community Health Services are currently recruiting bank workers in the role of Specialist Public Health Practitioner (Health Visitor) across various localities across Nottinghamshire.
This is an exciting opportunity to access shifts in the Healthy Families Teams supporting the delivery of the 0-19 Healthy Child Programme and Public Health Nursing Programme (children) in line with local and national public health priorities.
The Team provides a quality integrated service to the local population, in partnership with the Children’s Centres, working with children and young people aged 0 – 19 and their families.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic, reliable and adaptable Registered Nurses who specialise in Health Visiting, to join the Trust Bank supporting the Healthy Families Team, providing services to antenatal women, completion of the Healthy Child Programme for under 5s, enhanced programmes of care within school and community settings for the 5 -19 age group and breast-feeding support.
The role requires a clinician with specialist skills to assess patient’s needs, analyse and develop treatment plans within a multidisciplinary framework.
Within the Healthy Families Team you will work with children, young people and families within the home environment, school or other identified community setting. Therefore, a full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.

Candidates require recent nursing experience in a Health Visitor role and be able to demonstrate continuous professional development.
As a bank worker for the Healthy Families Team, you will be eligible to work across a number of Teams and localities including Bassetlaw, Broxtowe, Gedling, Mansfield, Newark and Sherwood, Rushcliffe and Ashfield.
A key aspect of the role is to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service as required and by joining the Bank this provides you with flexibility to manage your personal commitments, whilst supporting the programme of work the Healthy Families Team delivers and exceptional care to our children, young people and families.
