A Major Tier 1 Supplier in the Automotive sector are looking for a Quality Systems Engineer to join the team at their impressive site in the Wolverhampton area

You will be a flexible and versatile Systems Engineer with a strong technical background within the Automotive sector. Operating in a fast-paced Tier 1 environment and reporting into the Plant Quality Manager, you will be able to Development, maintain and effectively implement the plant Business Management System and support the roll out of the Business Systems strategic improvement business plan

Role: Quality Systems Engineer
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: Up to £47,000 per annum + pension + benefits

Shift: Days (Mon-Fri)

The key responsibilities of the Quality Systems Engineer role will be:

  • Reporting into the Plant Quality Manager
  • Responsible for maintaining and developing the company’s quality and environmental management system documentation, ensuring all amendments and revisions are properly controlled and supervised.
  • Manage the distribution of all quality and environmental system-related documents.
  • Support the development and implementation of new business systems, including training, awareness, support, and assessment.
  • Coordinate internal audits in accordance with the company’s audit schedule.
  • Oversee external audits, including re-certification and customer audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive system and quality improvements across the business.
  • Support initiatives to enhance system efficiency and raise quality and environmental awareness throughout the organization
  • Collaborate efficiently with internal business units and external partners to enhance the effectiveness of evolving processes

The key requirements of the Quality Systems Engineer will be:

  • Proven experience in maintaining and developing Quality Business Systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Qualified to at least ISO 9001/14001 Lead Auditor level.
  • Strong knowledge of methodologies for developing PFMEA, control plans, and standardized work documents
  • A strong understanding of internal audits and their critical role in business operations

Qualifications required: Qualified as a minimum ISO9001/14001 Lead Auditor.

Qualified as a minimum ISO14001 (Environmental) Lead Auditor.
