Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated Psychology Graduate to take on the role of Teaching Assistant at an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ secondary school in Chorlton-cum-Hardy. This is a full-time role starting as soon as possible and continuing until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of a permanent position depending on performance.
This opportunity is ideal for a recent Psychology graduate who is interested in gaining experience in education, mental health, or behaviour support settings.

Role Responsibilities:
- Support pupils in KS3 and KS4, particularly those with additional needs (SEMH, autism, ADHD, behavioural difficulties)
- Work 1:1 and in small groups to help pupils access learning
- Assist teachers with classroom tasks and lesson delivery
- Develop and implement targeted intervention strategies to support academic and emotional development
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Monitor student progress and feedback to teaching staff
- Contribute to the planning of individualised learning programmes where necessary
Ideal Candidate:
- Psychology graduate or related discipline
- Passionate about supporting young people and their development
- Interested in education, child psychology, or behaviour support
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive in their approach
- Experience working with young people in any capacity (schools, youth work, mentoring) is desirable but not essential
