About Rightangled

Rightangled is a dynamic and fast-growing online pharmacy that prioritises customer care and innovation in healthcare delivery. We are committed to providing customers a seamless, safe, and efficient service. We offer prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and personalised healthcare services.

As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Director to oversee our clinical operations and ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety.

Role Overview

We are seeking a strategically-minded Medical Director to provide clinical leadership across our group of healthcare services, including our UK-based pharmacy operations and international clinical services. This role is critical to ensuring clinical excellence, governance, and innovation across all entities, aligning our medical practices with regulatory standards, evidence-based care, and organisational goals.

As Medical Director, you will act as the clinical figurehead of the organisation, guiding medical strategy, overseeing governance frameworks, and championing the delivery of safe, high-quality, and patient-centred care across multiple geographies.

You will also play a key role in mentoring senior clinical staff, shaping clinical protocols, and supporting our expansion efforts both in the UK and abroad.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Clinical Leadership: Provide executive-level clinical leadership across the organisation, setting clinical direction, promoting evidence-based practice, and aligning medical services with group-wide objectives, including international operations.
  • Governance & Compliance: Lead the development and implementation of clinical governance frameworks. Ensure all services meet or exceed regulatory requirements and professional standards across the UK and international jurisdictions.
  • Clinical Oversight & Risk Management: Oversee clinical quality, safety, and risk management activities across all operations. Establish audit and reporting processes to ensure continuous monitoring and improvement of clinical performance.
Global Clinical Standards: Standardise clinical care protocols and procedures across the group, ensuring consistency and high standards in patient care across all regions, including overseas partners and entities.
  • Senior Medical Leadership: Act as the line manager and mentor for senior clinicians across the organisation. Support their professional development and ensure strong leadership is present within each operational unit.
  • Training & Workforce Development: Oversee training programs and continuous professional development for all clinical staff, ensuring they are well-supported and equipped to deliver high-quality care.
Clinical Policy Development: Lead the creation, implementation, and review of clinical policies, prescribing protocols, and care pathways, ensuring they are in line with the latest clinical guidance and regulations.
Stakeholder Engagement: Represent the organisation in interactions with regulatory bodies, healthcare partners, and clinical networks, both in the UK and internationally. Support commercial and clinical alignment in strategic partnerships.
  • Data, Insight & Reporting: Use clinical data and performance metrics to identify trends, inform strategic decisions, and improve outcomes. Report regularly to the Board on clinical performance and risk.

Innovation & Service Expansion: Contribute to the strategic development of new services and markets, ensuring clinical viability and regulatory readiness of new initiatives.

Requirements
  • Availability to come onsite to our Hammersmith office once a week
  • Education & Registration: Medical degree with active GMC registration. Additional public health, healthcare management, or leadership qualifications are desirable.
  • Experience: Minimum of 7–10 years of post-qualification clinical experience, with at least 3–5 years in a senior clinical leadership or medical director capacity.
  • Clinical Governance Expertise: In-depth knowledge of clinical governance, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance in the UK. Experience in managing overseas operations or working within different healthcare systems is highly beneficial.
  • Leadership & Strategy: Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary clinical teams and contribute to high-level organisational strategy. Comfortable working at Board level and in cross-functional leadership environments.
  • Communication & Influence: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to inspire confidence and build strong relationships across diverse teams and partners.
  • Patient-Centred Focus: Deep commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement in care delivery.

IT Proficiency: Strong IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office and clinical systems (EHRs, prescribing software, audit platforms).

Flexibility: Able to attend the Hammersmith office once a week and travel overseas occasionally if required.
