As the Associate Director, you will oversee junior surveyors, manage client relationships, and ensure the successful delivery of our building surveying services. You'll be collaborating with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to maintain the highest standards in building assessments and project delivery.
What You'll Do:Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of junior building surveyors, providing essential technical and professional guidance.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new surveyors and team members, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Oversee multiple building surveying projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery.
- Conduct thorough building inspections, surveys, and assessments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Advise clients on maintenance strategies, refurbishments, and repairs with clear, actionable recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and bids that include cost estimates and timelines.
- Provide expert advice on building condition and dilapidation surveys, and health and safety compliance.
- Lead complex surveys, identifying defects and offering recommendations for remedial works.
- Ensure all documentation is accurate and meets industry standards.
- Ensure all surveying work adheres to legal, regulatory, and health and safety standards.
- Identify and manage risks, advising clients on mitigation strategies.
- Maintain thorough documentation for all projects to ensure compliance.
- Oversee budgeting and financial management for surveying projects, ensuring profitability.
- Monitor project progress and expenditures, providing regular reports to senior management.
