Senior Management Accountant - London

We are working with a dynamic energy company who are looking for a Senior Management Accountant to handle monthly financial reporting, assist with year-end audits, and contribute to various projects. This position requires managing month-end balances and reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and review of monthly management accounts.
• Ensure the accurate posting and reconciliation of all accounting journals.
• Compile monthly balance sheet and profit & loss reconciliations.
• Support the preparation of year-end financial statements and address audit inquiries.
• Establish and maintain robust processes and controls to mitigate risks.
• Develop a thorough understanding of all operational procedures and systems.
• Enhance knowledge of financial instruments, revaluations, and settlements.

Required Qualifications:

• ACA, ACCA, or CIMA certification.
• Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Analytical, curious, and proactive mindset.

Experience Needed:

• Proven experience in preparing management accounts.
• Ability to foster strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Experience with IFRS reporting.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Capability to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities.
