JOB DESCRIPTION: SEN Primary Teacher- DSP Unit in LE4 school.

Location:

Large city school in LE4

Job Type:

Temporary, Part-Time hours (Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday) for the rest of the acadmic year.

Duration- Summer Term.

Salary:

£140 - £160 Per day

Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive learning environment
  • Assess and track student progress, providing feedback to students and parents/guardians
  • Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to support students' individual needs
  • Participate in meetings, training sessions, and other professional development activities

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Education or related field

Experience:

  • Previous experience working with students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
  • Demonstrated experience in effective behaviour management and leadership

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong understanding of SEN teaching principles and strategies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, students, and parents/guardians

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional training or qualifications in SEN teaching
  • Experience working in a diverse classroom environment

Working Conditions:

The role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, within a supportive educational setting. The teacher will need to adapt to the individual needs of students with SEN and collaborate effectively with colleagues and external professionals.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
