Job Description- Interpreting financial data and producing clear, concise reports.
- Contributing to budget planning and implementation within the Accounting & Finance Department.
- Assisting with the creation of financial forecasts and models.
- Supporting the management team with insightful financial data analysis
- Supporting the Operations Finance Manager in the preparation of the weekly P&L report and monthly management accounts
- Reporting of daily Operational Finance KPIs, highlighting key drivers of material and labour variances and helping to identify performance trends
- Accurate posting of month end journals - including site accruals and prepayments
- Assisting the Operations Finance Manager in the preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts
- Daily review and resolution of finance system posting errors - escalating issues as appropriate
- Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for stock
- Assisting with completion of external and internal audit tasks
The Successful Applicant
A successful Financial Analyst should have:
- An academic background in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (part-qualified).
- Proficiency in financial software tools and platforms.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to present financial information in a clear and understandable way.
- A deep understanding of financial regulations and standards in the manufacturing industry.
- An estimated daily pay rate of approximately £18.80 GBP to £20.56 GBP.
- A temporary contract with the potential for extension.
