Rochdale Sixth Form College (RSFC) opened in 2010 to address the significant underachievement in A Level performance in the borough. Since then, it has raised achievement in the area dramatically and is recognised nationally as a centre of excellence.

The college is rated Ofsted Outstanding and is consistently ranked as one of the highest-performing colleges in the country according to the DfE's performance tables and national achievement rate tables.

RSFC currently delivers AQA A Level Physics to approximately 150 students. The Physics department has a dedicated suite of teaching rooms which are well resourced, and there is a study area adjacent to the staff resource base which is well used by the teachers and students.

As Subject Leader of Physics, you will have the opportunity to shape the curriculum, drive continued excellence in student outcomes, and lead a team of enthusiastic and talented teachers. We are looking for an outstanding practitioner with high expectations who is passionate about Physics education and fostering a love for the subject.

At RSFC, we create an inclusive curriculum, ensuring Physics is accessible to learners of all abilities while providing opportunities to increase social mobility and broaden cultural capital.

We are seeking a passionate and ambitious leader to inspire students and drive the continued development of this thriving department. If you’re excited to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
