Learning Support Assistant
We are working with an outstanding specialist educational needs school located in Liverpool who require a Learning Support Assistant to start with them immediately after half term, Monday, 4th November 2024.
The school caters for students in Key Stages 3 and 4 and in the post-16/sixth form who have a range of complex needs including physical disabilities and autism spectrum conditions with additional learning difficulties, severe and moderate learning difficulties and a small number of students have profound and multiple learning difficulties.
The role of the Learning Support Assistant will be to work at classroom level, providing general support for the students and the teacher. You will be directed by the classroom teacher to provide support to students depending on their respective needs and the requirements of the lessons being taught.There will be a requirement for personal care at times.
The placement is full time and will initially be for the first term but there is a likelihood that the role will continue through the academic year, subject to performance and suitability.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a similar setting and providing support for students. You will ideally have experience of providing personal care for students when required. You will be caring and understanding of the individual challenges the students encounter and fully committed to helping them manage and overcome these challenges.You will be wholly committed to helping the students develop personally and academically.
