The company will consider all levels of experience. However, you must demonstrate you have some IT knowledge such as installing software, carryout basic PC fixes etc.

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Helpdesk First Line Support Technician / IT Engineer who has a helpful and friendly manner with an interest in developing a career in IT technical support.
Working as the Helpdesk First Line Support Technician / IT Engineer you will be the first point of contact for all incoming support requests.
As the Helpdesk First Line Support Technician / IT Engineer you will review each support request, logging them on the Help Desk System and allocating them to an Engineer to resolve.
After time and additional training you will have an opportunity to troubleshoot and resolve initial support tickets that fall into your level of knowledge.

DUTIES
Your duties as a First Line Support Technician / IT Engineer include:
- Answering incoming support requests and logging them accurately in the ticketing system
- Providing 1st line support for a range of hardware and software issues
- Troubleshooting common IT problems, such as password resets, email issues, and printer problems
- Escalating complex issues to the appropriate second line support team
- Keeping users informed of the progress of their support requests
- Contributing to the maintenance of the IT knowledge base
- Working as part of a team to meet service level agreements (SLAs)
- Opportunity to get involved in other areas of IT and contribute to projects as you develop
- A genuine interest in IT and a desire to learn
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
