We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join our Central and West Lancashire Specialist Perinatal Community Mental Health Team.This post requires travel throughout the Central and West Lancashire area.
You will join other psychological staff who are all based in the team and you will be supervised by a Clinical Psychologist. You will contribute to the psychological care of service users under the care of the perinatal service. Tasks will include carrying out psychological assessment and interventions (individual and group) under the supervision of a qualified clinical psychologist, assisting in clinically related administration, conducting audits and collection of statistics related to departmental research projects, training and project work.
The post will require liaison and joint working with multidisciplinary colleagues and agencies. The role is busy, varied and interesting.
You will receive professional and clinical supervision from senior clinical psychology colleagues, and there is lots of peer support and development and training opportunities.
Lancashire & South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust provides a range of services including secondary mental health care across this area. Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
The Trust also provides a range of physical health and well-being services in the community alongside a range of partners in the Lancashire, Cumbria and Sefton area.
