Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer - Huddersfield

GPS Recruitment are looking for a motivated Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a market leading manufacturing company. Reporting directly to the Production manager, you will be a key member in ensuring the production process has as little down time as possible.
You will be involved in all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within the business.
Working across three sites covering production facilities and site maintenance.
This role will definitely appeal to a strong engineer, looking for their next challenging role within in an ever-growing company.
Key responsibilities:
• Maintain high standards whilst adhering to Health and Safety procedures.
• Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults
• Diagnose breakdown problems
• Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
• Maintain production lines to optimise manufacturing requirements
• Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly
• Carry out inspections of machinery working towards preventative maintenance
• In-house weekly servicing routine of machinery
• Preparation of new machinery installations
• Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
• Maintain varying thermoforming machines, conveyors, spray equipment, CNC routers & drills, circular saws and extraction systems as well as general site maintenance.
• Carry out other tasks as may be reasonably requested by Line Manager that are within the role holder’s ability
Skills / Qualifications
• Previous experience and knowledge of working in a manufacturing environment.
• Electrical Engineering 16th & 17th Editions
• Compressed air/ Vacuum systems / Light fabrication
• Ability to read/work from technical manuals
