A rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Finance Manager to join a thriving, product-led business based in Cirencester. This is a standalone, all-encompassing position – ideally suited to a commercially minded finance professional who enjoys full autonomy and thrives in a hands-on environment.

The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll take full responsibility for the finance function, with key duties including:
- Managing day-to-day finance operations including accounts payable, receivable, credit control, payroll, and reconciliations
- Closely monitoring cashflow, ensuring the business meets its obligations and is well positioned for growth
- Producing monthly management accounts, financial reports, and regular cashflow forecasts
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns, and working with external accountants on year-end accounts
- Supporting strategic planning around stock purchasing, credit exposure, and supplier payments
- Continuously improving financial processes and systems to increase efficiency and strengthen controls
Requirements
About You
We’re looking for someone who is confident taking ownership and happy operating as a one-person finance department. You’ll be naturally proactive, highly organised, and commercially aware. Key experience includes:
- Proven background in a broad finance role within an SME, ideally in a product or stock-based business
- Strong understanding of cashflow management and credit control
- Excellent technical accounting skills including reconciliations and ledger management
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with modern accounting software
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with non-finance stakeholders
- A hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up attitude with great attention to detail

The Offer- Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience
- Location: Cirencester (fully office-based role)
- Hours: 40 hours per week, permanent contract
- Start Date: May 2025 or earlier if available
