Senior Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities

• Carry out fee earning work, getting involved in design of schemes where appropriate and particularly where high-level technical expertise is required.
• Undertake feasibility studies as required.
• Draw up detailed specifications and drawings against client’s briefs.
• Review tenders received and prepare tender reports and recommendations.
• Project manage site works from commencement to completion.
• Carry out inspections of existing installations and submit condition reports.
• Check and prepare information for fee Invoicing each month.
• Manage day to day workload of individuals reporting directly to you and assist more junior staff with technical queries.
• Develop the client base of the by being proactive when marketing opportunities arise and maintaining relationships with existing clients.
• Prepare and/or contribute toward fee bids.

• Degree/Master’s degree in Engineering.
• Use of Amtech (Electrical) or IES (Mechanical) software.
• Use of AutoCAD and Revit.
• Familiar with relevant legislation, codes of practice, CIBSE guides, building regulations and best practice and environmentally sensitive.
• Chartered Engineer status or approaching.
• Experience of managing successful M&E teams
