We are seeking a passionate and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and ensuring they have access to high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the provision for students with SEN.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with diverse needs.
  • Work closely with teachers, parents, and external agencies to create individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEN.
  • Provide training and support to staff on SEN best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with SEN legislation and school policies.
  • Foster an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a recognized SENCO qualification.
  • Proven experience in a SENCO role or similar position.
  • Strong knowledge of SEN legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
  • Commitment to promoting inclusion and diversity.
