Job overview
A secondment opportunity has arisen to work within General Surgery. This post is to work alongside our current clinical practice educator team delivering all training to the General Surgery team. The post holder will work along side our current Practice Education training team to support all new starters and overseas staff, and support mandatory training compliance within General Surgery.
Main duties of the job
Additionally, the post holder will undertake other teaching and learning activities that support the development of high quality patient care and a highly skilled and competent workforce.

Qualifications
Essential criteria- Foundation degree
- training / teaching / assessing qualification
- teaching and assessing experience
- manual handling qualification / key worker
- BLS trainer
- experience working clinically
- bachelor degree (health related)
Experience
Essential criteria- Evidence of teaching and facilitation of group and individual learning
- Able to work both independantly and within a team
- experience working in acute health environment (including managing challenging behaviour)
- experience working within academic setting
- experience within a clinical teaching / assessing role
