We are seeking an enthusiastic, reliable and flexible receptionists who will work within the Gainsborough Urgent Treatment Centre.

Please note this position will not commence before June 2025

Main duties of the job

Your main role will be to provide a day to day effective and efficient receptionist, whilst talking to patients and clients in a positive and friendly manner, dealing with any queries that may occur, adhering to confidentiality and Data protection policies at all times.

To operate a confidential and effective appointments booking system and to receive, register and direct patients to the appropriate area for consultation.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • NVQ Level 2 in business and administration or equivalent experience
  • Maths and English GCSE/O'Level grade C or above
  • Excellent IT - Microsoft Office, Excell, Word, Outlook
Desirable criteria
  • Working towards European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent

Previous Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working in a busy administrative environment such as General Practice
  • Previous experience of working in a customer focused environment
  • Experience of working towards targets/deadlines under pressure
  • Awareness of confidentiality
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of working in the NHS

  • Excellent Communication Skills, being approachable and polite
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with all members of the team
  • Good organisational Skills, using own initiative , with a high degree of accuracy
