Calling All Psychology and Criminology Graduates!
Are you seeking a rewarding, paid opportunity to gain experience in the education sector and work with pupils who have special educational needs?
We are currently recruiting specialist Teaching Assistants in Cardiff to support students with Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, Down's syndrome, epilepsy, and mental health challenges. This full-time role will involve working closely with individual pupils, helping them navigate their daily routines, engage in their learning, and achieve their educational goals.
You will also be responsible for identifying potential triggers and using de-escalation strategies when required.
The ideal candidate:- A degree or pending qualification in Psychology or Criminology
- Excellent behaviour management skills
- Strong communication skills and a passion for supporting others
Key responsibilities include regularly reporting on pupils' behaviour and achievements, and being open to training in Team Teach and Manual Handling techniques.
This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates to apply their knowledge and skills in a meaningful setting, contributing to the growth and development of pupils with special needs.
