Wycombe Abbey School Hong Kong is a prestigious institution committed to academic excellence and the holistic development of its pupils. We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Head to join our Senior School leadership team, working closely with our Headmaster to enhance the educational experience of our students.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development of our new senior school, due to open in August 2025. The Deputy Head will play a crucial role in both strategic and operational leadership, directly reporting to the Headmaster and stepping in during their absence.
This position demands a commitment to creating an environment where all pupils can achieve exceptional academic success through outstanding teaching and support. Key responsibilities include representing the Headmaster as needed, overseeing the development and implementation of educational provisions aligned with the school's vision, safeguarding student welfare, and leading in pastoral and safeguarding matters.
The Deputy Head will also promote the school’s values, facilitate effective communication with staff, students, parents, and the wider community, lead curriculum design and assessment schedules, maintain high academic standards, manage the school calendar and admissions processes, and support the development of new staff.

Engaging in teaching responsibilities, comprising 25% of the role, will help maintain close ties with classroom practices.

Candidates should possess an Honours degree or higher, along with teaching qualifications and experience at IGCSE and A Level. A proven track record of academic excellence and leadership in a senior school setting, preferably with international experience, is essential.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of student tracking and data analysis to drive academic improvement, excellent communication skills for engaging with a diverse parent community, and be a collaborative leader with empathy, determination, and a sense of humour.

An aspiration to progress into a Headteacher role in the future is also desirable.
