An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Support Worker to join the team of experienced nurses working on ward 12 in Prince Charles Hospital . We are looking for HCSW with the relevant skills, a caring attitude and individuals who strive to provide high standards of care to all patients.

You will have the opportunity to develop your skills, under the supervision of qualified nurses, caring for patients who are acutely ill with medical conditions.

Experience within the specialty of Medicine is desirable but not essential. The post is rotational between day and night duty.

There are two posts available, one full time 37.5 hours per week and one part time 24 hours per week.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Good standard of general education including numeracy and literacy skills,
Desirable criteria
  • To hold QCF Level 2 qualifications in Health & Social Care/Clinical Health Care.

Experience

Essential criteria
  • No previous experience is required.
Desirable criteria
  • Previous care responsibilities.

Personal qualities

Essential criteria
  • Works well both as an individual and as part of a team,
Desirable criteria
  • The ability to speak Welsh
