Analytics Hub

We have recently established an ‘Analytics Hub’ that provides specialist capability in support of our consulting projects. It is an incredibly exciting time for the business, with the team growing rapidly and working across a wide spread of client challenges including:

  • Financial analysis and scenario modelling to support strategic reorientation
  • Analysis in support of operating model redesign
  • Business transformation to reduce operating costs
  • Modelling future state workforce needs
  • Designing strategic management dashboards
  • Culture diagnostics drawing together people and survey data

About the Role

We are looking for a Financial Modelling specialist to join our growing Analytics Hub and take on a leading role across multiple assignments. The role will involve advising clients and project teams; supporting business development; and coaching and developing junior consultants.

To be successful in the role you will need to bring together solid quantitative skills, general consulting capabilities, and a collaborative, down-to-earth style.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day execution of analytics projects (and workstreams within wider transformation projects), including oversight of small consulting teams
  • Conduct financial and commercial analyses and develop high quality reports, create insightful recommendations that lead to enhanced business outcomes
  • Develop and build complex financial models to support strategic decisions
  • Advise clients and project teams with SME input
  • Support the development of new approaches/analytics tools
  • Support Business Development with proposals and materials
Requirements
  • 7+ years relevant professional experience (ideally in Management Consulting, Strategy or Transformation roles)
  • Experience leading complex organisation transformation (ideally with experience in operating model and organisation design)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and hit the ground running in new contexts
  • Highly numerate with a solid understanding of financial and commercial concepts and ability to apply to advise clients in a diversity of settings
  • Experience developing high quality financial and operational models in support of major strategic projects
  • Excellent communication skills and facilitation skills with the ability to explain complex results or concepts to non-data audiences
  • Advanced excel skills and preferably experience in data visualisation
  • Advanced problem-solving and critical thinking skills with experience in producing high-quality, insightful outputs
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to help grow Q5’s analytics practice
  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline (e.g. Finance, Economics, Data Science)
