Lab Technician / Analytical Scientist

Our client is a global health care leader with a diversified portfolio of prescription medicines, vaccines, and animal health products. We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated Analytical Scientist to join our clients Quality Control Department.

This on-site role is a critical role within our clients Quality Control function. Analytical Technician will be responsible for the testing and releasing of antigens and raw materials needed for vaccine production.
This is a full-time temporary contract role for12 months with a possible extension working onsite in Milton Keynes. The role offers a pay rate of up to £16 per hour, depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday and other benefits.
Key Accountabilities and Duties:
- Perform analytical antigen full testing
- Perform raw material testing
- Work alongside your team members and team lead to meet release deadlines
- Perform sampling raw materials
- Ensure samples follow the correct processing
- Review and filing of documentation
- Ensure timely review of all data results from tests performed, identify any invalids or atypical results.
- Perform COSSH, MA, RA assessments
- Responsible for the generation of quality data
- Work on a diverse and inclusive environment
- Identify areas of improvement that promote efficiency and safety
- Perform safety assessments
- Ensure lab is maintained at the correct standard.
- Support Biological potency testing 2 days a week or more when required
Experience, Knowledge& Skills:
Essential- Experience with titration testing
- At least 2 years of experience
- Reagent Preparation
- Attention to detail and concentration skills
- Positive attitude and motivation to perform work independently
- Experience with pipetting
Desirable:
- Experience with sampling procedures
- Experience with UV and IR
- Experience with EP testing
- Experience with processing high number of samples
Education:
- Degree on Scientific area (chemistry or analytical) or equivalent experience
