Description
We are seeking an experienced Class 3 Registered Building Control Enforcement Manager (Band 5) to join our dynamic team. In this crucial role, you will oversee and manage the enforcement of building control regulations to ensure that all construction and renovation projects comply with health and safety standards, building legislation, and local authority requirements.Your expertise will guide the team in conducting inspections, assessing compliance, and addressing non-conformities. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders, including architects, builders, and local government officials, to facilitate efficient processes while upholding stringent safety standards.
As the Enforcement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in assessing complex building projects, leading a team of enforcement officers, and ensuring all operations are efficient, transparent, and uphold the highest integrity. ResponsibilitiesOversee the enforcement of building regulations and ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
Conduct inspections of building sites and assess compliance with approved plans and regulations.
Lead and manage a team of building control enforcement officers, providing guidance and support.
Develop and implement enforcement strategies to address non-compliance effectively.
Liaise with stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and local authorities, to facilitate compliance.
Prepare and present reports on enforcement activities and outcomes to senior management and relevant authorities.
Provide expert advice on building control matters and represent the authority in legal proceedings when necessary.
RequirementsMust hold a Class 3 Registered Building Control qualification.
Significant experience in building control enforcement and compliance management.
Strong knowledge of building regulations, standards, and enforcement procedures.
Proven leadership and team management skills with a focus on collaboration.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with various stakeholders.
Ability to analyse complex construction projects and assess compliance effectively.
Strong organisational and time management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 09:00End Time: 17:00
Pay Rate: £424.70
Location: Westminster, South West London
