We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic British Sign Language (BSL) Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with students who use BSL, providing support and assistance to ensure they have a positive and productive learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support students in their understanding and use of British Sign Language.
• Assist in the preparation and delivery of lessons and educational activities.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed.
• Help students with their coursework and assignments.
• Monitor and report on student progress and development.
• Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere for students.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in British Sign Language (BSL) to at least Level 1 is essential.
• Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Relevant qualifications or certifications in BSL or teaching assistance are desirable
