Contract Manager
Location: Enfield Head Office, Project Sites
Role Purpose
To successfully manage and take full ownership of the delivery of all projects / contracts under your geographic and client portfolio, ensuring all works are delivered to or betterment on the programme, that they are delivered safely, in accordance with all drawings / specifications for the works, and at the tendered margin or better.Client satisfaction and repeat order business through excellent delivery is vital in this role. The ability to spot project risks and opportunities including additional work / projects, leading to business development and work winning traits / abilities.
Role Summary
Managing multiple contracts in accordance with programme, in a safe and efficient manner; ensuring all work is conducted safely and in compliance with current company policies, operating within the appropriate Health, Safety and Environmental Management systems and current legislation; ensuring excellent customer service is provided and hopefully continually improves.
Production and monitoring of project programmes, including tender programmes for bids. Ability to be able to dropline a construction programme and explain critical path analysis, and where activities are ahead or behind programmes with reasoning.
Strong commercial acumen to achieve the tendered margin or betterment.Ensure that all operational staff have appropriate competencies and certificates to undertake works.
Monitoring performance to ensure that all objectives are met and problems are anticipated and resolved.
Encourage and integrate innovation and cost-effective working methods.
Maintain and develop excellent relationships with clients
Assist in the recruitment, training and development of direct reports
Manage and develop the internal team of Engineers
Assist Estimating Department when required
Identify plant & material requirements and ensure written requisitions are submitted. Ensure we are not wasteful on labour, plant and materials.Ensure that records (manual and electronic) for completed works are processed and submitted in accordance with current procedures to provide accurate details of works carried out.
Act as a role model at all times in support of the company’s vision, priorities and values.
Carry out any other duties appropriate for the role.

Significant experience at a Snr Management level
Project Management skills including management of risk for delivery of projects to time, cost, quality, safety and security of supply.Programme management and the ability to produce and monitor project programmes using programming software.

Commercial Acumen - experience in contract management within fixed price and target cost NEC3 / NEC 4 Contracts.
Sound understanding of health and safety legislation
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
