Working hours: 35 hours per week with participation in on call duties and includes evenings and weekend work
Key Responsibilities:
The role of Specialist Support Worker is fundamental to the Salvation Army’s desire to help vulnerable clients achieve positive outcomes and as such you will be passionate, target driven, dynamic and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of services for vulnerable clients in a competitive climate.
A Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent in a related field or be willing to work towards it
An understanding of legislation relating to Health and Safety and safeguarding of clients and staff
An ability to work within the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army
Experience of working with vulnerable clients in programme area associated with the specialism
Can conduct risk assessments, devise Person Centred Support Plans and Risk Assessments
Good written and verbal communication skills

The role of Specialist Support Worker is fundamental to the Salvation Army’s desire to help vulnerable clients achieve positive outcomes and as such you will be passionate, target driven, dynamic and demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of services for vulnerable clients in a competitive climate.
You will provide a high-quality frontline service to victims of trafficking, including sexual exploitation, domestic servitude forced labour and other forms of human trafficking. Work together within a multi-agency framework working with the Home Office, police, medical practitioners, local authority and housing.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate:
Extensive experience working within a supported environmentA Level 3 NVQ qualification or equivalent in a related field or be willing to work towards it
An understanding of legislation relating to Health and Safety and safeguarding of clients and staff
An ability to work within the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army
Experience of working with vulnerable clients in programme area associated with the specialism

Ability to successfully work independently and within a team
