Junior Buyer
Bar Hill Permanent £28,000/year
Location: Cambridge (CB23)
Duration: Permanent
Hours: 8:30am until 5pm (Monday to Friday)
Salary: £28000 with a joining bonus of £1,500 after 6 months successful employment

Polytec are looking for an enthusiastic Junior Buyer for our client based just outside Cambridge.
Responsibilities:
• Negotiate contracts, improve prices, terms of business and agreements with suppliers
• Quarterly supplier visits (mainly UK based)
• Run shortages reports to capture all order changes
• Consistent supplier contact to ensure efficient flow of product to match demand
• Monitor market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
• Research and evaluate areas of opportunity and reduce costs where possible
• Update the Sales Team with delivery schedules
• Update the Sales Boards with supply information
• Ensure Purchase Orders are sent and received by vendors
• Add order acknowledgement information to MRP system
Requirements:
• Experience with Vendor Management
• Competent with MS Office, particularly Excel
• Proven experience as a Buyer
• Strong administrative background
• Excellent communication skills
• Confident working with internal and external customers
