Job Title: GCSE Tutor
Salary:
£25 - £30 Per hour
Job Duties:
- Provide tutoring and academic support to secondary school students preparing for GCSE exams.
- Develop lesson plans and teaching materials tailored to individual student needs.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Help students improve their understanding of key GCSE subjects, such as Maths, English, and Science.
- Assist students in exam preparation, including practise tests and revision techniques.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum and exam requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field.
Experience:
- Previous experience in tutoring or teaching secondary school students.
- Demonstrated success in helping students achieve academic goals.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities.
- Proficiency in creating effective learning environments.
- Organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple students and tasks simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Education or related field.
- Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs.
Working Conditions:
- Part-Time hours, mainly after school or on weekends.
- Work closely with students in educational settings, such as schools or tutoring centres.
- May require travel to different locations within Oxfordshire.
All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
