We’re looking for experienced and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a specialist secondary school in Wakefield that caters to students aged 11–19 with complex needs including autism, moderate to severe learning disabilities, speech and language difficulties, and behaviours that challenge.

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll support students’ learning and wellbeing, helping them reach their full potential in a safe and caring setting. You’ll:
- Build warm, supportive relationships with pupils.
- Assist with care needs and implement personalised behaviour and sensory plans.
- Promote independence and personal development.
- Support the delivery of a broad and balanced curriculum.
- Work flexibly and collaboratively with a range of professionals.
- Level 2 or above qualification in Support Work for Teaching and Learning (desirable).
- GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 2 or equivalent).
- Experience working with SEN in a professional or voluntary capacity.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Knowledge of ASD, SEMH, and other complex needs.
- A positive, adaptable, and pupil-centred approach.
