Quality Control Inspector - Join a Dynamic Team in Somerset!

The Role:
As a Quality Control Inspector, you will play a key role in maintaining the highest quality standards for our products. Reporting to the Compliance Officer and working closely with the Production Manager, your responsibilities will include monitoring, measuring, assessing and reporting on raw materials and production outcomes.

You will help ensure that our processes run smoothly and address any issues that arise with actionable solutions.

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Proven QC Experience: You bring hands-on quality control experience from a lab environment.
  • Relevant Industry Background: Experience in sectors such as food production, engineering, chemicals, or similar industries is advantageous.
  • Attention to Detail: You have excellent diligence for precise measurements, thorough record-keeping and problem-solving.
  • Effective Communication: Strong interpersonal skills are essential, allowing you to collaborate effectively across teams.
  • Hands-On Approach: You are comfortable in both laboratory and factory settings, applying a proactive approach to maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and analyse samples during production to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct tests such as moisture measurements, particle size analysis and other relevant assessments.
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on maintaining and improving quality processes.
  • Work closely with purchasing and production teams to monitor materials and address any variances.
  • Support the sales team in ensuring customer satisfaction by upholding product quality.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: £14 - £14.70 per hour, based on experience
  • Standard working hours: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday (40 hours per week)
  • 24 days of holiday plus bank holidays
