As a Support Worker SC3, you will not only assist with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and medication management but also promote independence and encourage participation in social and community activities. Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, dressing, and grooming.
Help clients with meal preparation and nutrition planning to ensure a balanced diet.
Administer medications as prescribed and keep accurate records of administration.
Support clients in engaging in social activities and community involvement to enhance their quality of life.
Monitor and report changes in clients' physical and emotional well-being to senior staff members.
Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients in line with health and safety regulations.
Previous experience in a support or care role preferred, with a strong understanding of individual needs and challenges.
Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent qualification is required.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and their families.
Empathy and compassion with a genuine desire to help others lead fulfilling lives.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Familiarity with health and safety protocols in a care setting.
