DAS is hiring a Lead Consultant in our expanding Systems Consulting practices supporting a range of clients across the Energy, Defence and Government industry sectors.

About you

As a Lead Consultant at DAS, you will be experienced in managing client relationships and developing business opportunities in the Defence domain as well as working directly with clients as a consultant. You have experience of financial approvals in previous roles and can confidently:

  • Work with and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Deliver consultancy projects, mange client relationships and develop business opportunities.
  • Build internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the government approvals processes.
  • Demonstrate experience engaging with HM Treasury and Scrutiny.
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of government guidelines including HMT Green and Aqua Books.
  • Contribute to the development of a 5-case business case.
  • Engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities and problems while developing enduring solutions.
  • Collaborate effectively with a wider team.

Requirements

You are a Lead Consultant with experience managing client relationships and developing business opportunities, ideally in the Defence domain as well as working directly with clients as a consultant. You have experience of financial approvals in previous roles and confidently collaborate with a team of colleagues. And importantly, you have the core traits of a DAS consultant:

  • Excellent communicators, proficient within their domains and able to deliver outstanding work to DAS clients.
  • Critical Friends, helping clients and their teams through bottlenecks and uncomfortable truths by constructively challenging the status quo.
  • Flexible and adaptable, responsive to evolving project demands and priorities and supporting their team for the whole journey.
  • Astute and attentive to clients’ needs, showing business development skills and identifying opportunities to improve our clients' effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Influential experts, competently working with senior stakeholders on a regular basis and valuing quality analysis and data-led recommendations.
  • Lifelong learners, keen to grow their expertise and proactively seeking development opportunities, particularly in pursuit of widening their professional skills base.
