The Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of teaching Key Stage 5 depending on experience and expertise. They will play a key role in fostering a passion for Science, encouraging academic excellence, and supporting student progress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that inspire and challenge students.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support development.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and the development of engaging learning resources.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel motivated to achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to promote best practices in teaching and learning.
- Participate in school events, extracurricular activities, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Science or a related subject.
- Proven experience teaching Science at secondary level.
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and classroom management skills.
- A passion for education and a commitment to student success.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to whole-school initiatives.
