Job Purpose:
To be responsible for co-ordinating all internal and external marketing communications for the Town Council. To conduct market and prospect research, organise marketing campaigns and events, create and coordinate marketing content and facilitate cross-functional team efforts.
Scope:

- To act in a socially responsible way at all times, ensuring your behaviour, actions and decisions consider sustainability of resources, the Climate and the Environment.
- To adhere to standards set to ensure health and safety at work, which includes following procedures correctly and participating in relevant health and safety training, in helping to create a safe and supportive organisation for all.
- To undertake tasks as required to support the Council’s range of events and festivals as directed.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Create marketing content and campaigns for all online and offline communications, being mindful of digital poverty in the locality and the need to address this through appropriate marketing channels.
- Work with the Events Co-Ordinator to ensure provision of appropriate promotional materials for the events programme.
- Conduct market research as directed by the Communications Manager.
- Form strong and effective working relationships with key partners and businesses keeping up to date with events and helping to organise and promote them.
- Assist in ensuring that all social media platforms in use by the Council are developed maintained and monitored.
- Act in a polite, professional, and capable manner at all times, as would be expected of an employee of the Town Council.
- Undertake any other duties required by the Council consistent with the level and scope of the post.
- Any other task as directed by the Communications Manager.
