Assembly Operative

We are actively seeking an Assembly Operative to join our team in Gillingham.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setting up machines at the beginning of the shift to ensure proper working order
• Operating machines and monitoring them for abnormalities
• Performing routine and preventative maintenance to ensure machines operate efficiently
• Troubleshooting and resolving any mechanical or technical issues
• Conducting quality control checks to maintain the high standards of our products
• Assembling steel clips, worm drive clips, hose clips, and clamp clips using machines
• Following health and safety protocols and maintaining cleanliness in the work area

Requirements:

• Proven experience in machine operation or a similar role in an industrial environment
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members and management
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
• Previous experience as an assembly operator is preferred
