Your role will include developing and delivering high-quality lesson plans, assessing student progress, and creating a stimulating classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature and language. Your primary focus will be on teaching English to students up to KS4, within schools in and around Newport.
Responsibilities- Excellent subject knowledge and a thorough understanding of the curriculum.
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons to promote student participation and progression.
- Establish relationships and collaborate with fellow teachers, students and parents to access full potential of student learning.
- Tailor specific teaching strategies to accommodate the varying needs of students with different abilities.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students to enhance their learning experience.
- Inspire a love of literature and language, promoting critical thinking and developing students’ ability to analyse, discuss, and express themselves.
Requirements:
- A teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS/NQT.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Strong organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to different school settings.
- Enhanced DBS and registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
