We need a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive school in Bournemouth. This role offers the opportunity to positively impact the lives of children with special educational needs (SEN), helping them to thrive in a nurturing environment.Whether you are an experienced teaching assistant or looking to begin a career in education, we provide training and ongoing support to help you succeed.
- Pay: From £85.10 per day
- Hours: 08:30 - 15:00, Monday to Friday
- Contract: Full-time, temporary
- Start Date: ASAP
- Support pupils with a range of SEN, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and PMLD, on a 1:1 basis and in small group settings
- Assist in delivering intervention sessions to boost pupils' understanding and progress
- Work closely with class teachers and support staff to develop an understanding of pupils' individual learning styles and needs
- Provide pastoral and emotional support, helping students develop confidence and independence
- Support pupils across the school, including during break times and lunchtimes as required
- Experience working with children in UK schools
- Ability to build positive relationships with both pupils and staff
- A resilient, proactive, and positive approach to supporting students
- Right to work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one
- Provide two professional references covering the last two years
- Access to accredited professional development courses, including safeguarding and behaviour management
- Ongoing training and career progression support
- A dedicated Training and Development Team
