The Musculoskeletal (MSK) Service Chronic Pain Team Stafford and Cannock are looking for an enthusiastic Advanced Physiotherapist to join our friendly team.
You will be required to hold a valid HCPC registration, be able to evidence advanced skills as a senior clinician working with patients with long-term chronic pain and have a clear desire to expand your knowledge & skills with a capacity for autonomous clinical decision-making and problem solving.
We are looking for a team player who is a good communicator, has a solution-focused outlook and emotional resilience. You will need to be open, honest & compassionate, as you may be required to lead difficult conversations and support for patients regarding the prognosis of their condition.
You will need to have the ability to work flexibly and react quickly and calmly to rapidly changing circumstances and a drive to develop effective professional working relationships.
Main duties of the job
As part of your role in The Musculoskeletal (MSK) Service Chronic Pain Team Stafford and Cannock you will be:
- Providing chronic pain assessments & treatments in a variety of settings 1:1, group and virtual
- Able to support development and delivery of structured interdisciplinary education for the team, including day-to-day clinical support for physiotherapists and other health care professionals.
- Working closely with other teams/agencies - involvement in addressing a range of support issues across MSK and pain conditions
- Supporting service development and delivery of local and Trust wide projects.

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria- Degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent & Registration with HCPC
- Modules at Masters level or equivalent clinical courses within Pain Management
- Further clinical study relevant to clinical practice
Training
Essential criteria- Relevant Specialist Post Graduate qualification and/or professionally recognised clinical course(s) in specialist area and professional development.
- Up to date field work/pre-registration student training
- Attendance at relevant Special Interest Groups
- Leadership experience/training completed
Skills
Essential criteria- Supervision and teaching of undergraduate students, technicians and other professionals.
- Ability to compromise and adapt programmes to patient lifestyle and environment.
