We are delighted to offer a Plant Operator Apprenticeship starting in February 2025. This is an exciting opportunity to kickstart a successful and rewarding career in the construction industry.
The apprenticeship programme lasts two years during which time the apprentice will undertake practical training on-site and as well as block placements at the National Construction College. Travel costs and accommodation at the college will be provided.The on-site training will largely be done in the Oban area and there may be a requirement to attend other sites for particular elements of the training programme as and when required.
The successful candidate will learn how to operate plant safely and efficiently and carry out basic maintenance and checks on items including 360 Excavator, Telescopic Handler, Roller and Forward Tipping Dumper. Assessments are carried out on-site and through work-based evidence.The apprentice will also be appointed an experienced personal mentor who will help and support them throughout their training programme.
